Advanced Screening for Cataracts
- Posted on: Mar 21 2017
Normally the lens of the eye should be clear, but once a cataract starts to appear, a clouding will form on the eye’s lens. In the beginning stages of cataracts, the cloudiness starts off small and usually doesn’t immediately affect vision. As the cataract gets larger, it clouds more of the lens. This makes vision more difficult as light becomes distorted as it passes through through the lens of the eye. This may lead to signs and symptoms you’re more likely to notice, for example: blurred and a dimming of vision, double vision, a change in way you see colors, difficulty with seeing at night, light sensitivity, appearance of halos or glares, as well as more frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions.
